Why was I born? What's the meaning of life? Why am I here? What is my purpose for being?
These are questions we all will have at some point in our life. We might ask these types of questions many times throughout our life especially when life doesn't make sense or when we feel lost. We might just one day realise that we are doing our jobs and wondering why, for what purpose etc... In 1999 I went to six family funerals. My cousins uncles aunts and grandparents seem to be dying every other month. I was in the middle of a great depression that began in 1996. I was both lost and deeply saddened by the suddenness of the end of life. I remember asking WHY a lot back then. My children were young and they were asking "WHY" about a lot of things in their life like Why do I have to do homework? Why can't I watch more TV? Why do I have to eat vegetables? In 1999 the world was facing the potential threat of Y2K meaning airplanes would fall from the sky and all computers would stop working or explode, why, again was the question.
In 2000 when the world didn't end I was introduced to CBT. A type of therapy that helps with anxiety, panic attacks and depression. For the first time I began to feel better. Four years to finally make some progress that I truly felt. And with CBT the other things I was doing became enhanced like poetry, painting, writing music and meditation. The rudimentary version of NLP also worked better. Even though I hadn't yet given up on pharmaceuticals the progress I was making made want to research and study more types of life betterment disciplines. I discovered that some disciplines were better at explaining HOW the mind works. Others like CBT focused more on WHAT to do when you are anxious or panicky. I studied just about everything most folks have heard of and I learned the What, How, When, Where of self help and personal development. I gained enough self control to reenter the world of coaching. My self transformation experience gave me a different perspective on everything. Still I felt as if my mind could just run off and put me back into a state of panic or anxiety. Knowing what to do was great but something was missing. The one question above all others that is missing in self help. WHY?
When we know why we can accept easier. Along with the how, what, when and where, We can look at processes better for better redesign. The CTME is the WHY or the missing link to self improvement, personal development. Forever remove triggers knowing why, when, where, how and what to remove those triggers.
